Series: Until Her #4
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Harmony Mayson isn’t the kind of girl to take unnecessary risk, but after meeting Harlen MacCabe, she starts to wonder if maybe she should be. The more time she spends with the wild and free biker, the more she starts to crave the freedom he gives her... And even more, she starts to crave him.
Harlen lives his life on his own terms. After losing both his parents at an early age to a robbery gone bad, he knows how precious life is, and he’s determined to get as much out of it as he can. When he runs into the beautiful Harmony and finds out she’s moving to town, he knows it’s time to take his shot. She thinks he only wants to be friends, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
What Harmony and Harlen don’t know is that their time might be cut short. Revenge is in the air, and someone won’t stop until a debt is settled.

Harlen and Harmony were so wonderful! I swear each and every book in this series gets better and better. I have been intrigued by Harlen since I first met him in previous books. He reminded me very much of Nico, the strong silent type of man that most people will misjudge based on his looks. It is only when you dig deeper that you realize the depth to him. At first I wasn’t sure that he even liked Harmony as anything more than a friend.
They build a friendship to rival all friendships and then when they take a chance and kiss things don’t end as expected. It is one of those “Dang why you got to be so stubborn girl!” moments where if Harmony just answered the phone or door things would have been cleared up. Although I must admit pissed off caveman Harlen is pretty awesome and I wouldn’t have missed that for the world.
Harmony is the quiet girl of the Mayson’s, one of them at least and I wasn’t sure about her at first. After all Harlen is in an MC and Harmony didn’t seem like she would fit with all of that. She is afraid to ride his motorcycle the first time he asks. She is a planner in an OCD way and needs to have just so. She knows what she wants from her career and where she heading in life. It’s not that Harlen is none of those things but he comes off as a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy. It isn’t until you get to know both him and her better that you realize neither of them are any one thing. From beginning to end this will get you entertained and ready to pull your hair out at times. There is simply nothing better than a Mayson finding their BOOM regardless of which one it is.
Hadley was my favorite! She isn’t in the book until almost the end but she did something that few people would ever do. She did it without a single thought for herself or her own safety and I have a feeling that we will be seeing much more of Hadley.
“I can’t do that,” I whisper, blinking away the tears filling my eyes.
“Hadley, pull off the road. Me and the other officers are en route. We’re close. Pull over.”
Shaking my head, I hang up the phone and drop it into my cup holder. The idea of something happening to that woman before the cops can get to her, and me just driving by and not doing anything to help, would kill me.
HONORABLE MENTION CHARACTER
Nico gets this honor. If you haven’t read the Until series that started this (and the Until Him) spin off then let me tell you don’t know what you are missing. Nico is Harmony’s father who just doesn’t want to let his little girl go. The problem is that he is a cop and was a bounty hunter at one time so he has seen the worst the world has to offer. He is the definition of over protective alpha male who has no problem running guys off. In fact, he has done that all of Harmony’s life.
I have never dated a guy he’s liked, and he’s always made that perfectly clear, which means the guys I’ve dated tend to disappear, never having the balls to stick around.
Choosing just one moment was so hard in this one because there are so many different wonderful moments. One of my favorites is when Harlen and Harmony are finally admitting their feelings for one another.
“It’s been you from the moment we met.” I lower my voice. “I’m crazy jealous when it comes to you.”
WHAT IRKED ME THE MOST
I wished the hospital board would have gotten a whole new board and other people fired over what happened. They knew because of the rumors flying all over the place and then when it all goes down they are like “Sorry.” I just felt they should have done more but I realize that they did what they could under the circumstances.
